Move-in: What you need to know.

Before our adventure begins, let us tell you a little bit about what you’ll need to prepare for move-in. We all know reading is best when done on your favorite hammock under the sun. So, get comfortable.

And if you have any questions, send us an email. We promise it won’t end up in a folder never to be seen or heard from again.

COVID-19 UPDATE

What should I expect on move-in day?

  • The CDC recommends face coverings indoors in certain counties with high community levels of COVID. This information is updated weekly at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html.  If our location is within a county with a high community level on the day of move-in, we will recommend that residents and visitors wear a mask while in indoor community spaces.
  • Let us know if you are not feeling well and need to delay your move-in. Your health and safety, and that of all our residents, are our top priorities.
MOVE-IN AND FIRST PAYMENT

You’ve probably already marked it in your calendar, but if you haven’t, grab a pen and jot this down. Move-in begins at 9:00am on August 19, 2023. When you arrive at Redpoint for move-in, please follow the signs to check-in and pick up the keys to your new home.

If you want to avoid late charges (and who doesn’t?), you’ll want to make sure that your first installment is paid by August 1, 2022. Late charges will apply unless we have received the first installment payment within the two-day grace period (by August 3, 2022). Checks or money orders should be made payable to Redpoint College Station and can be mailed or brought directly to our office.

You can also pay online through the resident portal using a debit card, credit card or electronic checking transfer, or by automatic recurring charge to your debit card, credit card or bank account. You can save money on convenience fees by paying with a bank account as well.

GUARANTOR FORM OR PRE-PAYMENT

Nothing ruins move-in faster than missing paperwork (trust us). If you haven’t done so already, please submit your guarantor form. We’ll need to approve this before you’re able to move-in. No guarantor? Sign up with Leap by selecting this option on your application or by calling our office today. Alternately, you will be required to prepay the final 2 installments in advance in order to move in, as described in your Housing Agreement.

UTILITIES

Please also note that we partner with SimpleBills for electricity billing. Please watch your email account over the next week for a registration email from SimpleBills and follow all instructions to complete your enrollment. Make sure you check your spam folder just in case! Simple Bills will send out statements for electricity billing directly to each resident and payments will be made directly through their portal.

RENTER’S LIABILITY INSURANCE

It’s probably not something you normally think about, but you are required to have at least $100,000 of liability protection by the time you move in, and throughout your stay with us. This doesn’t cost much, and is designed to protect you if you accidentally cause a fire or flood. As unlikely as that sounds, if something happens, you’ll be very glad to have it. How easy have we made it to take care of this requirement? You don’t have to do anything at all; we’ll automatically charge your account $12 per installment, waive the requirement to provide separate insurance, and buy our own insurance to cover the same risks. If you have your own liability insurance and don’t want to be charged for this, please upload your insurance certificate and we’ll let you know right away if it meets the requirements. EXPRESS CHECK-IN

Happiness is spending all day by the pool and the evening by the fire. So why waste time waiting in line?

To get on the fast track for check-in, click here for your resident portal link and register online. From here, you’ll want to make sure you can answer yes to each of the questions below.

  • Did you make your first installment payment?
  • Did you enter your vehicle information (if applicable)?
  • Did you sign any pending documents?

If you answered yes to all of the above, you’re one step closer to your next adventure. Besides that, all you need to bring with you is a valid photo ID (and an appetite, we’ll have snacks waiting for you). Please click here to sign up for a move-in time on your desired move-in date. Worried about what to pack? Don’t. We’ve put together a master packing list for you. Quite simply, you’ll find everything you need. And nothing you don’t.

Living room

Bedroom

  • Lamps
  • Bedding – beds are Queen size

  • Alarm clock (or maybe just your phone)

  • Cookware and dishes (pots, pans, glasses, silverware)
  • Cooking utensils (tongs, spatulas, etc.)

COMMUNITY POLICIES

You’ll want to spend some time getting familiar with the Community Policies. You can find these online here. And if you want a hard copy, we won’t judge you. We might even high-five you. And if our policies are the only thing you read all day, then job well done!
